There is a silver lining to every situation. When we made the decision to cancel camp, we challenged ourselves to find the good in the situation. What could the silver lining be? Turning away over 200 kids who were planning on attending camp was not easy on the heart. 

We started to think about all the people who are really hurting during this time. There are so many in our community who struggle to put food on the table regularly, and the problem has only worsened during COVID-19.

With that, we decided to offer three options for summer camp refunds: full refund, partial refund with a care package, or receive a care package and donate the refund. 

Not sure what the response would be as we have never done anything like this before… and we hadn’t really seen it done either (this was an idea that came to me as I was on a bike ride with my kids).

We were BLOWN AWAY by the response! So many families passed their refund forward to Harvesters. We raised and donated $1,800 for Harvesters!
