2019 Kissick Construction Game Changer Award Recipient - Finesse Soccer Founder Carrie Fry Robinson:
On February 8th, our founder Carrie Fry Robinson, was honored at the 25th Annual WIN for KC Women’s Sports Awards Celebration for her key role in the women’s soccer revolution and continued efforts to shape the future of the game.
Coach Carrie accepted the Kissick Construction Game Changer Award, given to a local individual who personifies the true spirit of sport as a supporter, promoter, or champion of girls' and women's sports and fitness.
WIN for KC applauded Coach Carrie and Finesse Soccer for encouraging and motivating girls of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels to participate in the game and growing their confidence not only on the field, but in all areas of life. Finesse was commended for partnering with Global FC to run free clinics for refugee girls in North East Kansas City, an organization Coach Carrie is passionate about making a difference in.
Accepting the award in front of over 2,000 women and girls, Coach Carrie was joined in attendance by Simone Biles, 4-time Olympic gold medalist and ESPN’s most dominant athlete of 2018 and Holly Rowe, ESPN commentator and featured emcee.
Coach Carrie is changing the game by making it her mission to keep girls in the game through impactful programming and inspiring them to be the strong, brave and powerful people they were born to be.
We applaud our founder and leader and extend our thanks to all Finesse families and supporters for championing soccer in Kansas City and paving the way for the future of women’s sports.
